My love of the birth process developed naturally, through the wonderful, all natural births of my daughters, one at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and one at home, with my midwife Mikelann. My loving husband Mike and sweet doula Rebecca inspired and helped me relax and work with my labor. My training with Bradley Method, an intensive birth educator and doula certification process, and learning from each and every couple’s birth has enriched my knowledge of and compassion for the unique experience of birth. I feel tremendously blessed to have found a loving way to make a positive difference in the world and can’t imagine a better job.

I’ve been working as a doula and birth educator since 2002, attending over 60 births and teaching hundreds of couples. Every new class is a new beginning for me, helping couples learn and grow together as they prepare for their birth. Every labor and birth is an adventure. I love that I always learn something new and surprises abound. By now I also feel very prepared for just about anything birth can imagine, having participated in birth experiences ranging from the serene to the downright crazy. Through them all my purpose remains clear and unchanging, to lovingly support and care for the mother, her partner and the new child.
