4 week group birthing classes are $200. This includes all materials and instruction for mom and her birth partner. A class size cap of 5 couples. And a convenient, shorter time commitment. Please see class schedule, 4 week group classes begin every few weeks; please register at least 2 weeks prior to class start date. Full payment is required at class sign-up. There is a $25 late registration fee for those registering last minute (within 2 weeks of 1st class). These classes are offered on Sunday afternoons or on Monday evenings at the Bodhi Tree Wellness Center.
- Calling early in pregnancy will give you the greatest choice of classes which fit your due date and schedule.
- Like many things in life, birth classes tend to be a product where one gets what one pays for (Are you buying the cheapest car seat, or the safest one? What’s the difference in price?). Think carefully about what your birth is worth, to you and your baby. The quality of the instruction is often much higher in higher priced classes (please see local resources for other quality classes). Low-cost or free classes are subsidized by the facility sponsoring the classes, such as hospital, county health department, or birth center, and are therefore not independent and will reflect that facility’s philosophy about birth. Think about what you want. I don’t work for anyone but you, and accordingly must charge more for my classes. The benefit is an experienced, independent teacher who is willing to help you have the birth you want, rather than a routine birth. I’m happy to provide references from couples who felt the fee was well worth the benefit.

- There is no discount for classes missed. Make-ups: If you have to miss one of the 4 classes in a series, you are welcome to come to that class in another series (space permitting). Check the schedule and call me to see if that series is being taught. I do not do private make-ups.
